Privacy Policy

The short version
Pick QR Code is provided by Honest Abe Marketing. Most QR codes are created entirely in your browser, so the information you type into the standard generators is not sent to us. No account is required. Optional analytics stays off unless you allow it, and you can change that choice at any time.
Scope and operator
This Policy applies to pickqrcode.com and related U.S.-directed services (the “Service”). “We,” “us,” and “our” mean Pick QR Code, provided by Honest Abe Marketing. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to admin@honestabemarketing.com.
Information we collect
Information you provide. If you request a template, we collect your email address, the template selected, and the source of the request. If you use an optional hosted-page feature, we collect the page title, content, and design settings needed to publish it. Hosted-page content may be publicly available to anyone with its link.
Technical and security data. Our hosting provider receives ordinary network data such as IP address, browser, device, request time, and requested page. Certain anti-abuse endpoints store a shortened one-way hash derived from an IP address. QR logging, if used, stores the QR type and a one-way hash of its content—not the content itself.
Optional analytics. After you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics may collect pages viewed, general device and browser details, approximate location, referral information, and interactions such as QR type or download format. Microsoft Clarity may also collect rendered-page information, clicks, scrolling, mouse movements, and session recordings. We disable advertising storage and personalization signals. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the Service.
Cookies and local storage
We use local storage to remember your analytics choice and session storage to carry a selected QR style to the generator. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may use cookies or similar identifiers only after you allow analytics. Choosing “Keep analytics off” does not limit the core QR generator.
Use “Your privacy choices” in the footer to change your setting. We also honor browser-enabled Global Privacy Control signals by keeping analytics off.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service.
- Deliver requested templates and optional hosted pages.
- Prevent abuse, enforce limits, and protect users and the Service.
- With your consent, understand traffic and improve usability.
- Send QR tips and related email you requested; you may unsubscribe anytime.
- Comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
How we disclose information
We disclose information only as needed to providers that help operate the Service, including Cloudflare for hosting, security, and data storage; Google for consented analytics; Microsoft for consented Clarity analytics; and Kit (formerly ConvertKit) if email delivery is enabled. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, complete a business transfer, or at your direction.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use or disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including providing requested content, maintaining security, meeting legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Provider-held analytics follows the retention settings in our provider accounts. Email records remain until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to suppression and legal records.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including hashed anti-abuse identifiers and encrypted transport. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a state law applies to us, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; limit certain uses of sensitive information; and appeal a denied request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
To make a request or appeal, email admin@honestabemarketing.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject. We may need to verify your identity. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law.

Children
The Service is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the Service or law changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice when required.
